DOG HOARDER INVESTIGATION – 1/3/2011
“It started with a dog fight,” reported one of the Poinsett Co. Deputies. “We were called out by the neighbors. There are about 25 dogs. Two got into a terrible fight and one is in bad shape. The others are starving and some have alot of hair loss.”
That’s how the case started on Monday, January 4th. NAFA investigators brought 3 large bags of dog food and accompanied law enforcement to the residence. But once on the property NAFA found more dogs/puppies and also cats. In all the count was 19 puppies, 18-20 dogs and 16 cats. The owners had been without work for several months.
